Business Cards

Building off of what Jeff has started with our doorstep website, I started making us all some business cards. I wanted to get something printed out for plo and I to take to london…we can still refine after that, but some initial feedback would be great.

The more that I think about it the more I think that it would be nice to have “Emergency Studio” on the back instead of the front. The front could be flat white but the back super glossy, but what the hell do I know I just sand wood all day.

I think the shirt reference / rip-off is fun and nice for a temporary landing page for the website, but I’d be cautious to start using it as a branding device for the group. Maybe for now, just something like “emergency studio” on one side, with name and contact info on the other. And if we want to list everyone, maybe something less like the t-shirt.

i agree with paul. it\’s cheeky and fun to have it as a temp landing page. but it\’s a TOTAL ripoff. something super simple would be great. using the same gray scheme. emergency studio on one side, name contact on the other.

maybe if we lose the punctuation and use a different typeface this list thing could work. but i still feel icky about it. It\’s the same as doing this: http://flickr.com/photos/baxterjeff/454252391/

Didn’t Karlson Wilker redo their logo as a verizon wireless ripoff?

I say, if you are gonna fuck, fuck. Well, Sledge was actually the one who said that, but I reiterate it here.

I guess I just think that our work is too good to brand ourselves by ripping off a trendy t-shirt. We could have 30 cheeky variations of a landing page for emergencystudio.com to show how fun and awesome we are, but I think any branding we do should reflect our collective radness.

I just think we dont need to worry about branding at the moment. Honestly I don’t think it matters much what the card looks like. It just needs to be nice and simple. Emergency Studio, for the most part, is pretty undefined. so maybe the cards should be too.
