Cheffware+Plo took an “exclusive” tour of the north end of The High Line on Sunday afternoon. This section is still owned by the railroad companies and is up for grabs in a development bidding war. Our tour ended where the construction begins (or ends depending on how you look at it) on the Diller+Scofidio designed public park sections. They have it stripped down to the concrete and we should be dangerously playing Frisbee on the southern most sections next spring. All at the low low cost of 170 million dollars. We followed the tour with an always exclusive brunch at Florent.
The High Line

According to our tour guide, the name (and pronunciation) of the architects (Diller Scofidio + Renfro) is unimportant. Strange to mention such an opinion when probably surrounded by a group of architects/architecture enthusiasts standing on a rickety old elevated train track next to the railing.
