Let me know what you think about it. None of that “pat on the back” crap either. Really let loose.

Why are there two navigation thingies?
Does the text in the navigation change size on roll-over?
and I think the text is a little hard to read against the texture…
and now i only have one navigation bar….i don’t know where the other one went…weird.
and i think the work looks awesome.
and for the links page, I have a new website. http://www.baxtercheryl.com/
Thanks Cheryl!
I think the double nav is bug with firefox. I don’t get it with safari. Diggin’ the wood background, it is a little hard to read on it sometimes, but I don’t think that is too bad. You could add a background color to the body copy to solve the problem, might look pretty cool too. The expandy nav is nice, but I think you might want to not use it till there is a bit more content under each thing.
Jeff,
Thanks for the comments. I highlighted all of the text with a light/medium gray. Is it not showing up? It should be.
I think that I fixed the double nav problem. So it should no longer be an issue. You may have to clear your data for it to not show up.
Lastly, good point about the drop down menu. I think that I will change that today. That will help to fluff up the content a bit.
yea, it’s all there now. Later we will work on your background compression, that shit is loading slow. (might be my connection)
Mmm…..yeah I was wondering if that was gonna be a problem.
Just noticed the favicon… nice!
nice to see this, alexanders. def into the wood background. i really want the images to be bigger…they’re so nice! maybe you can have one big image and several thumbs for each project page, just to wet the viewer’s appetite.
also, i didn’t notice the previous/next nav for the pop-out images until after visiting the site a few times…it gets lost at the bottom. it might be nice to have it over the image or in a thin bar at the bottom of the image.
patrick makes a good point. Why even do the lightbox? Why not just show big-ass images?
I’ll try that out and see how it looks.
the updates make a huge difference! i’m lovin’ it.
