Sorry to mix up threads.
I’ll look into seeing the basement. It does have a sidewalk hatch that we’d get to use to get down there. There might also be an entrance from inside the house.

I’m going to check out the basement tonight after work. My landlord said the cieling isn’t very high, but I’ll take some pictures and measurements to post on here. He said it would be “a good price, inexpensive” and seems like a pretty decent guy.

I checked out the basement tonight. The ceilings are just over 6 feet tall… with support beams that are lower. Not so great for a studio space. Other than that, pretty standard basement. The landlord really wants us/me to rent it ($150 a month) so we (rachel and I) might have it anyway and it would be a good storage space. Although I don’t really have anything to store… if anyone is interested in checking it out, it’d be a super cheap shared storage space.
