Soon I will be leading a second life….
I am currently looking into starting a virtual second life. We should look into this/discuss on Wednesday. We could have a virtual exhibition of KPOPK’s work and sell products/art that only exists in the computer world. (Queue Matrix sound effects) The online monetary units (called Linden dollars [L$]) can be converted into real US dollars. So, in effect, we can be making an income off of selling products that don’t even exist ,which, could in turn lead to a real world fanbase (potential for making/selling real world art/design). It is very interesting. Who’s comin’ with me?
tiny celebrations…
I would like to add to all of our recent employment accomplishments by posting that I too have gotten a raise. Yes…I have a job. Nicole said she was in love with me/my work today and, as a result, I get an extra dollar an hour. First raise ever. A round of beers!
How we do?
We don’t know. And maybe that is a problem. So, lets talk about that. Not on the blog, because it proves rather ineffective for making finite decisions. Can everyone have a conference call (maybe conference ichat) later this week? Thursday night @ 10pm?

Hip,Hip, Hooray for Missy…
On Thursday Missy had her one year review @ VanTine Guthrie. From what I was told everthing went well, and she received her first raise and bonus. I would like to be the first to formally congratulate her on her acheivement. In unrelated news, it’s so hot in our apartment my balls are sticking to my legs. We should probably turn on the air conditioner or invest in some baby powder. Congratulations Missy!!!!
Basement / Work Space
Sorry to mix up threads.
I’ll look into seeing the basement. It does have a sidewalk hatch that we’d get to use to get down there. There might also be an entrance from inside the house.
Do Something
KPOPK-NY has been kicking around the idea of actually doing something as KPOPK (maybe not that name) but all of us, together, to help establish ourselves as a group both in our own minds and to the the rest of the world. John had the idea of a show/publication featuring all of us working with a common theme either on seperate, small group, and/or whole group projects. The 2007 Fall gallery season in Chelsea would be a super place/time to hold such an event. So we’ve got a year. All that being said. . . What is the theme!?!? We thought of that too (because this project isn’t about picking a theme), here it is:
In Ornament (it is set in several ways to keep from imposing any extra meaning to the phrase) Audrey blurted it out one night and everyone thought it would be a nice, relevant, not too pretentious theme/title. So there it is. See the (proposed) next steps in the comments.
